so i wanted to replace my stock light bulbs with super white bulbs. how much would this cost and could i do it myself?

As in head lights, parking lights, interior lights??

 

head light about 40 bucks...depending on brand....dome lights....20 bucks

 

the head lights. i wanted HID but thats kinda expensive. so i know there are replacement lights that are in the range of 5000K.

 

Do a search for "9005 Retrofit," I suggest you try that procedure. I am very happy with my 9005 Silverstars.

I love 'em so much! I've driven about two nights with them and the brightness is far superior to stock, and the color much less yellow, a very nice pure white. A very easy mod if you have the tools for it, and a 'pretty easy' mod if you don't!

Lest we turn this into a 9005 retrofit praise thread; I think you'd be happy if you followed our route, maybe using the newer Silverstars.

i would go with the 9005 Retrofit lights but im short on cash. are there other alt. that i can do?

 

i got some, the sylvania silverstar lights and they are bad ___. pricey but good.

 

Pep Boys had the Silverstars at $38 with a $5 mail-in rebate... you must be really short on cash, then. In that case, the Sylvania Cool Blues are $28. I don't really know any other bulb/price combinations. Good luck though!

 

There is a group buy on SL for HID's $210! 6k or 8k, put it on a credit card thats what im doing;)

 

lol yeah put it on a credit card, I started with 20 bucks, now I owe 5 grand lol. thank god for minimum payments.

i took my stock hi-beam bulbs and did hte conversion.. THEY ARE BRIGHT

and no drivers upset with them either.. so they are good to go.. and they are free!!!

however.. you will need something to replace your high beams now

 

yea ive herd that the sylvania silverstar lights are cheap but they last like 5 months.

 

i used stocks.. and stocks last FOREVER haha

 

PIAA ones will cost u 90 bucks
should have bought HIDs instead of these...

 

It can cost anywhere from 20 bucks and up to 100 bucks. Depending on how deep is your pocket.

I saw a new PIAA LED headlight bulbs... I think. I wonder if anyone had tried those yet. Not even sure if they make it our car bulb number.

 

where do you buy LED resistors? cuz i am changing the lights in the interrior of the car.
