I just put in some new L.E.D. running lights. They look awsome. I chnged over the amber turning signals to blue as well. I also just ordered the Injen CAI. Not bad for a noob i guess

Pic fix'd.
Careful of the LED in that housing... I've heard for SOME bulbs it's bad to have it in the same housing as your headlight - the heat can kill the LED. Not all of them have this issue though.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be watching for that. I couldn't pass up doing this though. Talk about sexy at night in total dark. I am a fireman and I am getting my emergency strobes put on tomorrow. I'll post pic and video when I get them.

Although being a fireman is cool and all......... i don't think blue lights and strobes are really a good idea for street use (or legal). Is there ever a time when a fireman has to use his vehicle for emergency fire related purposes? just curious.

jolton49 to answer your question....I am a volunteer fireman so yeah I use my car to drive to fires and all of our calls almost daily. I am allowed to run my strobe lights going to those calls. Infact if people don't yeild to me its illeagal. When the headlights are on the blue l.e.d. lights dont really stand out enough to make a differnce. My fire chief is also a cop so he lets me know my limits (trust me)
chrischoi---I haven't had a problme with them melting so far. I tried to buy a highquality light because I read about that problem. No issues yet but who knows what will happen in a month.

Jolton49--That is why it is illegal to have strobes on your car if you aren't an emergency vehicle. People that run strobes just to do it need to be ticketed.
theblue--I don't have pics up just yet. It's hard to take a pic of the strobes but I'm going to shoot a quick video of it in the next couple of days. I'll post it up as soon as i figure it out

Unfortunely it isn't illigal for people in my area not to yeild to us, but it is requested. For the most part, the people in my community have a high respect for us and do yeild. I haven't had strobes put on mine yet, but I am considering it. If i do, I will go w/ the more traditional (and only colors allowed) red and white.

yeah that is what mine are red and white. Our department closely regulates us on our colors. The people in our community take really good care of us and respect us a great deal. We have alot of really great equipment. Infact we have better equipment then most paid departments. We even have a Humvee brush truck. We just bought a duce and a half yesterday for hurricane season. I.m. me and I'll try and get you some pics.
