Default New Owner: Left Grill piece / Behind front bumper QUESTION

Hi,

I just got my 2006 Scion Tc about a week ago and have two questions. I have been looking on the forum for a bit but have never posted.

1) Anyone know where I can find the little LEFT GRILL PIECE that goes in the front? (I want the stock one, same as my right grill piece...mine is missing). I have looked everywhere and cannot find anything.

2) This more important: How would I go about getting another one of those black plastic (might not be plastic) protector/cover that is screwed to behind each SIDE of the front bumper?

YOU KNOW, just like the black piece that rides along the bottom the front bumper, except for the front corner pieces are separate and screw to the main piece... It's thing, plastic type of stuff that curves with the tire so when you look front behind you don't see all the stuff behind the bumper.....ANYWAY, mine came loose when I first got it and my tire ran over it and ripped it all up. I was able to ZIP TIE it temporarily but it bothers me that it looks so crappy by the wheel.

ANY HELP on what that thing is called, or where I can purchase one, OR BOTH would be very helpful!

OTHER THAN THOSE TWO THINGS, I'm still LOVING MY CAR!

ALSO, is it possible to key a new keyless entry key (or remote) from somewhere else and make it work with my SCION?

Both can be purchased at the dealer. The Fender plastic I think is what you were trying to say? And I dont know the name for that little piece

Get the parts from the dealership if you want to get raped. If not, then try this site:

Fender liners: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...=7&catalogid=2

Vent covers, a.k.a. "lamp covers": http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...12&catalogid=2

The plastic fender liners are $64 each and the vent covers are just $8.25. If you need clips or bolts, those are also available. Examine the diagrams to determine what you need. I have ordered many parts from that site, including big plastic pieces right down to individual bolts. They always follow through, but you might have to wait for a week until they order the parts for you. Still, a great company and great value.

thank u so much. this is exactly what I have been looking for. SOUNDS TOO EASY.

thanks again.

1 MORE THING:

When it says RIGHT or LEFT, is it stating it from me inside the car L/R or me looking at the car from the front L/R?

Well let's see...vehicles in the US are left-hand drive. The side the steering wheel on will be considered 'left' and the passenger side would be considered 'right'...unless you imported a JDM tC.

Good question, but car parts are always referred to as if you were the driver of the vehicle sitting in the driver's seat. In the US, "left" is always the driver's side part. Sounds like you want the left one (driver's side), because it sounds to me like the previous owner removed it for airflow to an air intake. I did the same thing to my tC initially. I was driving around with the left vent cover removed, but after a while I replaced the vent covers with open grilles for airflow and looks.

Oh yeah, I noticed that too. They never tell me how much they will charge for shipping. They usually tell you later in an email (a personal email, not automated). In the past, it has been something like $5 to $10 for me. There is no big catch, they just have to pay standard postal service shipping rates which depend on the size and weight of your order.
