Thanks amanda776! Actually, I didn't do a thing! They are a dark grey color to begin with and that's just how they came out after a buddy of mine painted them.

is it legal to red-out the reverse light part of the taillight?

 

Reverse light has to be white. If tinted any color, it will fail.

Hence red-out is illegal over the bulb. .... But if you cut the overlay around the bulb your all set.

Is there an easy way to get off the factory tailights?

 

the tail lights can be done by yourself. just need to remove rear bumper.

Your kidding? You have to take off the rear bumber to install any new tails? How difficult is that?

 

it shouldn't be that hard, takes me about 5 minutes to take the front bumper, just some screws and clips and it should come off.

 

Its not that hard. If you have the tool remover for the black clips (I think that's what they're called), it only takes 7-10 minutes for a noob. I had to take mine off because I installed my custom TYCs and Mud guards at the same time. Its not as bad as you think. If you want a guide to help you, THIS ONE is the best!
