Default New w/ a tC AP

Hey guys. As my first ACTUAL car, my dad and I spit and paid for a 2007 Scion tC. I was previously driving my older brother's truck that was really unsafe to drive (Mazda b2500). Now I am trying to add mods to the car, but I am trying to turn around and resell this car in around 3-4 years and probably get around 7-8k off it because it only has 15k miles right now, so I do not want to do anything like a kit or anything over the top. Id want to do mods that are pretty common and basic. Can anyone give me any mods they think make the car look nice that arent THAT expensive? I have like 4k in the bank right now, and willing to drop around 1.5k for mods. My thoughts right now are TRD Springs (I wanted H&R but realized the TRD's are cheaper and look a little lower IMO), tint, possible OEM spoiler, and thats about it. If anyone has anything to add then go ahead. I also couldnt find a s2k antenna on eBay, some went for $10, some went for $50.

Thanks and I am glad to be a part of this forum now

EDIT: I was up till like 3-4AM looking at the AP Scion's Unite thread, it was fun.

Everyone gets flamed at some point, the joys of forums lol

I would say get springs, new wheels, shorty antenna and tint. Then you'll be set since you said you didn't want to get too crazy with it.

Yea, thanks.

So you guys think I should skip the spoiler/spoiler lip? I am not that crazy about it anyways.

Here is a s2k antenna I found. Is that all I need?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OEM-H...Q5fAccessories

As for coilovers, I know they are at least $800. I saw TRD ones (I think) for around $950. If these are $300, they are probably cheap and not durable. Id rather just get springs, they seem like a better option for me.

And yea, I am apart of other forums. One forum I have 8500 posts

As for s2k antenna
Go to a honda dealer n buy one for a S2000

Raceland coilovers are great for the price IMO

Check out the Clazzio seat covers for the tC. They're things of beauty and look like a stock Toyota option. Can only help your resale value in the long run.

Check 'em out:

I called up a few Honda dealerships and they were selling them for $40. Why would I go there if they sell for $20 online? Do you think they are stolen? They were also asking for what year of s2k, and I said that I dont know.

Raceland coils (295-300s shipped) great coils, decent drop, killer warranty
Shorty antenna
Tint
Paint rims or buy new ones
Lip kit
Maybe fogs or HIDs if money allows

Don't get TRD springs, the drop is slim to none; S-techs are a better spring
Don't get the pedestal spoiler, I have it and am not too happy with it...

Thanks for all the replies. Can someone tell me if that s2k antenna on eBay would be enough for this?

Also, I am looking around for HID's on eBay and they look to be around $300. Does that sound right?

Ive seen TRD springs though, the drop looks good :/

What about H&R springs?

Dont forget to drop by the PNW forum and say hi!

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/for...lay.php?f=1625

But yes I would reccomend modding in this order:

-Drop (Tokicos & H&R springs)
-Kaminari flush mount/ OEM lip spoiler
-TRD/OEM lip kit
-I/H/E

call it good

I/H/E is Intake/Headers/Exhaust, it's the basic route to make a bit more power but get your car to sound a lot better while not having to go with forced induction (super charged or turbo charged).

It'd be really easy to point stuff out on a car if you don't know what all the pieces are sometime in person.
