ive heard that some people with the VRD fogs have to modify the OEM Front Lip to get it to fit with the fogs. ive also heard others say they didnt have to modify anything.

whats everyones take on this?

 

as far as i know u HAVE to modify the lip kit... i seen DIYs so i dont know how could u go with lip kit and vfd fogs without cutting the lip.

yea i did, i found a bunch of threads just like this one. all useless.
and i found the one where vertex racing posted all the diff install manuals, but they dont fking show up...

 

you have to cut the lip kit to make room for the VRD fogs.

i just cut mine, not hard at all, just time consuming. the hardest part is removing the lip from the front bumper.

haha, didn't know you had vrd's fogs, but yeah you have to cut them. you "could" force them in but it causes stress on the plastic pieces and it might fall off one unlucky day.

 

we are talking about the RS1 front lip right?

so what your saying is that if i wanted to do vrd fogs and the RS1 FL, i would have to mod the lip or the fogs? and why?

the vrd instructions say you have to cut the front lip, they got pics in the install pamplet.

its already been answered pretty much.
just install the lip, then hold up the fogs to where youd install them, and trim where necessary.

 

I just did mine last weekend. Just force them in. Get one guy to push the fog light in and the another to use a screw driver to pull the clip over the plastic behind the bumper. It takes a lot of force but mine turned out perfect.

 

id rather trim the lip.
if something requires forcing then its not meant to work that way.
id just be afraid that itd pop out on the highway or something.
