Just installed my CF Front Lip.

I noticed the sides by the fender where you bolt it down, i didn't bolt the lip ALL the way up like how can i explain it...

From the bottom of the lip to the bumper of the car there is like a 3/4 inch gap b/c if i would of raisded the lip that high, the front part and small vents in the lip would be like floating off the car...

But I also used VERY Strong double sided tape along the front insides also b/c after install it was kind of flimsy.

VERY Nice look though! I'll post some pics tomorrow!

the rs1 lip kit looks good.. its waaaaay too low for me, but the biggest problem is the fitment........ the home depot $12 lip fits better that this.............

 

lol. i just ordered my rs1 front lip yesterday. ready for it to come in so i can get it prepped and painted before it gets warm and moisture comes back

re the bottom of your lips (meaning from the ground straight up) flush witht he bottom of the bumper of the car?

 

the lip sits just a lil lower than the stock

 

I know that it sits lower.

But is the sides where you bolt it in. Do you have it pushed all the way up so the bottom of the lip is flush with the bottom of the bumper?

or is there a gap from the inside of the lip and the bottom of the bumper?

 

^ for me there was a gap from the bottom of the lip to the bottom of the bumper. because if i push it all the way up so that it touches the bumper, it would look retarded as if the front of the lip starts to go up as it wraps around the bumper.

 

I should be ok then... I'll take some pics when ever I get the camera back.

Then you guys can tell me if it looks installed right.

 

Anyone have any rear and more angled shorts of the RS1 lipkit on an FM? The ones I saw on the thread were either in bad light or the car was kinda far back into the pic..otherwise the kit looks sick

 

yeah. this is what im talking about................. ALL the rs1 lip kit has that gap on the sides. that is why I DONT want rs1 lip.. because the fitment is BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD


btw the rear looks realli cool with the custom touch...


too bad about the fitment.. im gonna get ground effect front and kami rear.
