^They can be had at your local Toyota/Scion dealership. Sometimes they can be found in the classifieds.

 

$200-$300 to paint an oem front lip? that's the quote i got from about 5-6 auto body places up here in Norcal. i thought that was pretty high so my lip is still unpainted.
am i correct on the fact that it seems a bit much?

 

That's only the front lip? That's alot it should be only around $150, are those quotes including installation as well? Cause I did my whole lip kit,rear hatch spoiler and roof spoiler for around 450-500.

 

yea i have agree with him. $200-$300 sounds like alot for just the front lip. i would think shouldnt be more then $150 to do the front lip.

 

I paid $180 for base/clear.

 

why not DIY on the front lip?

heres how it came out!










i used a 1/3 can of primer, 1 can of base coat, and 1 can of clear, and the results were awesome! the paint was about 95% match id say!

for 40-50 bucks its worth the DIY

 

i don't really trust myself to be that patient with paint. i've never been able to. i painted my waterfall and it was the first time i painted anything, it's definitely all about patience which is something i have little of.
a lot of those shops said "oh we'll paint it for just $300 out the door and every place around here is going to charge you about the same" and every place pretty much did. if i can't find a decent price up in norcal, then i'm going to bring it down to socal with me when i go home and get it done for $150.

you still need the sides too.. makes a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge difference!!!

( i used to have the sides first and it looked awesome even with the stock front and rear)

anyone have pics of their FM with the RS1 lip either painted black or not painted at all. i might scoop up an RS1 pretty soon and im debating if i should leave it the way it is, or paint it FM.
