The eBay special PU front lip, this arrived to my door with one bad wave/bend on the lip under the the passenger fog light section, I just went on and did trimming to clear the foglights. Next thing will be using a heat gun to flatten the wave out on the bottom of the lip, it just pushes it out of alignment on the passenger side, also some trimming to clear the lower grill.

Yea just heat that baby up and it'll straighten right out. I had to do the same to mine when I installed it, but it was in the center of the lip.

I am browsing around looking for the right lip. My car is NBM, but I want to keep the lip unfinished. It is GOING to get scraped so there is no need to paint it up.

What does the finish of the polyurethane look like compared to the ABS plastic when unfinished?

What are the UV properties of each?

I don't need to to be super glossy, but I don't want it to look matte primered.

I believe ABS will be more glossy than Polyurethane

Hm.. I was thinking of doing a simple rattle can job with sand, primer, paint, clearcoat. The paint coming from an auto body shop of course. I've read people having trouble matching the paint directly though.

How much does an auto body usually charge to paint the entire lip?

I was the first one to do it. You'll like how it looks. If you do it right, it's like it was meant for it.

Are you still riding on the H tech? I totally love your car when it had the wagen wheels on.

How much do these viniati kits usually run? I want a kit so bad but im so afraid ill scrape it up or break it cuz the car goes off road sometimes cuz of the area where i live and the front end scrapes sometimes. Not to mention we already cant get the car on ramps to do a simple oil change cuz it rubs. :/

Aurora, did you have any pictures of how that kit looked with the lights? Since the rs1 kit seems to be the cheaper of kits i might have to steal ur idea if it looks good.

http://www.viniati.com/

http://www.viniati.com/scion/tc/2005-2009.html

it says 750 *** THAT! I got mine for 250.00 about 3 or 4 years ago, got it from SL, a dude bought it and wanted to trade for a new set of tires HOLLA! They are somewhat rare, in the EastCoast I think i'm one of the few that have it, in the WestCoast there are a few more that have it, and some have molded it to the car and looks Great!

the Viniati flush mount spoiler is money!

if your worry about rubbin dont get it, i dont know if you can tell by my pics, but my exhaust was modify to fit with the back lip, the back lip hangs about 2" lower than the stock bumper, the buttom of the lip has like a ledge that meets the buttom of the bumper and that causes it to hang a bit lower, I had to lower my exhaust about 2" to account for this. when I first installed the exhaust it was pushing my bumper up due to the lip. and as you know the RS1/Viniati/RS2 front lips hang* a bit lower so you will scrape in the front also.

If you want a lip kit that you wont scrape as much I would go with the OEM lip...

just my 2cents
