Alright, i wanna personalize my tC and i have a few ideas but i don’t know which one to choose. She’s a classic metallic ’08 clean beauty. I don’t want to make it look over the top or tacky just tasteful and sexy as hell. I wanna turn head just not the cops. Here are some ideas:

1. 30% front two window tint, 5% back, and wing.

2. 50% front two windows tint, 5% back, and wing.

Or if I have enough money! Option 3.

3. 18% front, 5% tints back, Black wing, black gas tank lid, and carbon fiber hood.

 

Do you have any other mods to the car or is it stock? If its just stock I'd invest in some lowering springs first.

 

Also if you don't want to attract cops I'd go with a 30-35% tint all the way around.

 

Thanks sounds good. Yeah its all stock except for the back lights. I am allergic to the sun so i'll have a permite for that.

 

What kind of wing are you talking about? The stock pedestal or something else.

Keep it wingless, I wish I didn't get my tC with the stock pedestal.

 

The carbon fiber hood isn't a bad idea but keep the car one color. As far as tint goes - I've been using your "option 1" setup (or pretty close to it) for almost 3 years now and have had no issues.

I got pulled over once in Downtown Fullerton on a Saturday at like 3 a.m. The officer made a comment on how my front tint isn't legal and if I knew that I just said "yes" and all he did after that was ask if I had been drinking or if I had open containers so I think he just used it as an excuse to pull me over to make sure I wasn't drinking and driving. Didn't get a ticket or anything, and this was at least 2 years ago.

i say drop it first. make sure you do some research first though. i went thru three sets of springs until i found the perfect ones for my car. instead of getting all that carbon fiber stuff, get a lip kit. it will make the car look that much nicer. if you want to go with a wing, i would suggest the kaminari deck spoiler. it looks clean and doesnt make you car look like a shopping cart.

 

1. 35% tint on the sides and 20% (or 5%, if you can handle it) on the hatch. Try to keep the tint flowing. Doing the front windows and the quarter windows different shades of tint looks awkward IMHO. Doing the hatch darker will give the whole car a darker appearance. (Since the hatch tint is not allowing that much light in.)

2. Lowering Springs. Will give the tC a more aggressive look and stance.

3. New wheels if you can afford them.

4. Honda Element antenna. No more horsewhip for you!

5. Later, you could add a lip kit if you get bored with the look.

 

i'd do 50% on the front windows and any % on the rear. i agree with everyone on keeping your car wingless. lowering springs would also be a great investment. for the price of the oem wing, you can get some good quality springs.
