To Paint the calipers or not, that is the question. HELP!!
Well, I'm planning to do something over the winter break, something that's not entirely performance wise, what I want is something to make my car LOOK better. Painting the car is too much, and havent decided on good rims that matches SSM yet, so I'm thinking to paint my calibers red, I know this might be rice to many of you but I want to hear from everyone, THANKS and be honest!

I love my red calipers on my BSP, but silver might be better for you...
Go with the good brush on sets, like G2 or The Duplicolor brush on... they come in boxes and are really easy to apply by brush and are much more tough that spray paint....

I've seen Blue on Silver, Black on Silver, Silver on Silver, Red could work I guess....
I liked the blue as well...
Try a search for "Painted Calipers" you should be able to dig up a couple of pics.... hopefully some on your body color.

I like the red contrast on SSM. When painting calipers, just be prepared to be doing it all day. You have to put on many coats of caliper paint to get it right. WeDriveScions is right about getting the brush-on paint. Be sure to get better paint brushes from Home Depot or wherever. Here's a pic to show you the finished look...

Calipers turned out very good. Good luck.

This is a great DIY mod, but I believe this has been discussed before of why people should do it @ all since our braking system is weak and why would you want people attracted to your car. Oh well, once again... it is in your hands and have fun with it!
To bad BBKs are freakin' expensive, just like buying a new set of wheels! My future plans are to StopTech or Brembo (If they ever) on the front and then paint the rear calipers to match (RED).

woah, i think i WILL do it now, but more pics and what kind of paints do you use? I saw this kit from autzone that includes primer, brush, and paint(not spray paint). Anyone use the same thing or..?
I got a similar kit - it had a brush and a can of red paint and a big can of brake cleaner. If the one you are looking at doesn't have that make sure to pick some of that up too and use a lot of it before you get started.
Silver? Nah, too boring. I would go black on BCP unless you have black rims. You could go red, but it depends on the WOW!-factor. Black=conservative, yet clean. Red=Hello there! It all depends on the type of person you are. I am loud and brash, so I chose red. I had better stop. Its gettin' way too 'deep' in here!
whoever asked about the FM i am doing mine red after seeing this other guys tC
everytime i look at thenm now i say to myself not to do it, but when i look at the dudes pics it makes me want too
