Paint Chips.. HELP!
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this...
BUT I got my car washed the other day and I noticed a deep paint chip in my drivers side door... It looks like the paint around the chip might start to come off as well.. I want to stop this problem and fix it up. Will buying the touch up paint from the dealer help me out or make it worse?? I obviously don't want to get the whole thing professionally painted just for this one chip, but I am afraid that if I leave it it will get worse.
Dealer touch up paint... good or bad??

just a little tip from my experience...
when you use dealer touch up paint, make sure u shake it for long time for paint to mix otherwise color will be different.
and also if the chip is small, take time to do it, use toothpick or something, don't use the brush that it comes with.
this won't look perfect, but it might prevent from coming off

You should get the dealers paint its like 9 bucks, clean the surface, apply a little bit on the chip, let it dry, add another after that drys and then add a clear coat on top of that. make sure you add like 3-4 coats of clear, then when wait a day for it to dry, pick up some wet sand paper 1500-2000 grit, (Meguiars works best) Then clean the surface free from dirt and grease. Wet sand the area to the point were the shine is gone. DON'T sand past the clear. Then get some compound and buff the area until it has a rich color to it. Then get some polish and buff over that until u get a shine. After that you can get some glaze polish and apply it by hand so you get a clean polished OEM look
