Paint Job
I recently ordered a Black Sand Pearl Scion tc that is supposed to arrive within the next 3 weeks. Iv'e been reading about the Black scion tc's and have noticed that they are really hard to maintain. Since i really love the color black, i dont think im gonna wait for different color. However, i was wondering how much it would cost to maybe paint over my black to make it silver or flint mica....one of these days i will get too exhausted form cleaning the black?

Well for one thing you can't paint over the black, the paint has to be removed first. Another thing, it will cost in the thousands to repaint your entire car. I have Black Sand Pearl and it does get dirty and paint chips can be seen more easily, but the color is worth the extra time and effort maintaining the car's clean appearance.
just suck it up and buy the black and get obsessed with it's appearance and keep it at a show-room shine 24/7 even if it's a daily beater. it'll make you proud of yourself.
go to www.autopia.com and click "LEARN" and then spend like $200 in auto-care products and spend a few hours the first day you get it getting it to the Perfect Shine® and spend like 5-10mins after each drive keeping it gorgeous.
or get the flint mica and do the same thing, my car gets dusty but I think it's because I haven't done an all out wash, dealer-wax-strip, acrylic sealent, re-wax etc and I didn't wash it since I got it since the 10th of november and it didn't look that bad, was more worried about the corrosive brake dust on my wheels - have 1050 miles on it so far

i was in a toss up between flint, black, and silver. decided to opt for the flint mica because black is very hard to maintain and silver seemed to common and not too great on a tC. I figure compromise between silver and black and go for flint mica. the flint mica will still require some upkeep but not as much as black and more than silver. repaintaing a car costs upwards from $2000 to $5000. unless you get the cheap $200 one.
ha!..im not getting white...
i was talkaing to some ladies and all of them said black is a sexy color and represents wealth and power..i think i will stick with black and put the effort in to maintain it
if i get too tired of cleaning and waxing i will just get a paint job cus i can stand driving around a dirty car...
thanks for the input

I always thought of Black representing evil, mystery, menacing, deep & rich, formal, etc.
Wealth and power would've never crossed my mind, with that, I would probably have gone with white.

ha, white is associated with goodness and purity
but your'e right, black does symbolize "evil", "darkness" and "mystery"...which is why girls like it..a bad boys car
plus, lex luther form superman drives a black car and he's rich...
