Default paint protecting

ive had my tC rs2.0 for about 4-5 months now and i am getting rock chips left and right. they are everywhere, my hood, bumper, ground effects, my doors, rear bumper. etc etc etc is there anything i can do to protect my car? I was talkin with a guy who offered some kind of 3M product that is liek a 8mil film that would cover the hood/bumpers or wherever you wanted it really. has anyone tried something similar? or something different even.

I have a clear bra on my car that covers the entire hood, front bumper, side mirrors and along the door edges. Mine is made by VentureShield, not 3M, but it's the same thing.

But you really should get it put on before you get rock chips otherwise it doesn't do as much good. I had mine installed the day I bought my car. For now I'd suggest just letting it go until it gets bad enough for a repaint. Or you can try touch up paint if you feel confident enough.

how much did that cost, ya i was kinda hesitant with the touchup paint...ive heard it doesn't look too good so i will prob just get it fully repainted someday. can you tell you have that stuff on your car or is it not noticable??

It cost $550 installed.

Touch up paint doesn't look good unless you have a lot of experience doing it. But rock chips are inevitable. I'll eventually get some too since the clear bras aren't 100%. I'd suggest just forgetting about it. Everyone's car has some amount of it anyways
