Does anyone believe that if I bought this product



the tail light covers come unpainted

and used paint from paintscratch.com to paint it with the aerosol can they sell with the same color paint would it come out any good?

 

Unless you know how to wetsand and clear, then it wont look perfect. Take em to a body shop and have them painted for about $50 or so.

There's a lot of body shops in southern california that would paint em. Just do some searching.

I did mine myself, but not with a rattle can. You could use a normal aerosol paint but like KINGxOFxSKA said you will need to do some wetsanding.

Rattle can = spraypaint. The can rattles when you shake it.

I know someone with a professional spray gun and ordered some Flint Mica paint (1E0) online. The covers were cleaned, sanded a bit with a fine sandpaper, cleaned again and sprayed using the afforementioned spray gun. Four coats of color, two coats of clear.

You can find spray paint cans with factory colors online and DIY. The only problem there is spray cans don't usually leave a nice finish (rough and orange peel textures) but wetsanding will get rid of that.
