paint question: 5a lip
so ive been debating whether or not to get the bottom of my 5a lip covered in rhino liner or line-x to combat inevitable scraping
i know someone on here has done something similar but i cant remember who it was or what thread it was posted in and yes, ive looked
ive talked to a guy who does auto painting and says he can do it but doesnt really see how it will help or how long it will last
what do you guys think?

i know its at the bottom but it was getting so scratched up that the paint was starting to chip off and after a while, that would begin to affect the top of the lip as well
hmm well then the effects will be the same with rhino liner. Its not like rhino liner is less prone to cracking. It also depends on how good your painter is. I got my five axis side skirts painted at some shiiitty shop and after a month of driving, the paint is dramatically ruined because of rock chips. However I looked at my oem side skirts with factory paint and they are flawless, even after a year of driving. I think your better off wrapping your lip with a clear 3M bra
maybe but then again probably not as much. I heard the 3m bra is made out of the same material as invisibleshield from Zagg.

how low are you planning to be? I have a finger gap both front and rear. My five axis kit is fine..haha well fine for now but if anything you should be more worried about your side skirts. Flying rock chips at 50 to 70 mph are more damaging then scraping at 10mph at most.
pretty sure its not as bad as chicago..new orlean doesnt even get snow. Snow literally destroys roads..the dramatic temperature change from hot to cold then hot again does nothing good. Safe driving will be your best insurance for your lip.
