So for the 3rd time in 5 months someone tagged my car sux!!! I'm tight on money and wanted to know if anyone has repaired there car with a spray paint can and had success. Here is some pics not to bad. If the pics are to big can someone fix it I don't know how thanks

 

i wouldn't use a can. you won't get the color right and will regret it later

 

You don't think in the mean time till I can get it painted I could touch it up ____s ugly lol that side of the car was fixed 3 months ago so I'm ____ed

 

only way to fix it would be to respray the bumper. professionally. not using a rattle can.

 

Yeh I know well I'm gonna attempt it see how it goes since it will have to be painted anyways

 

The "rattle can" your gonna use is a color matched duplicolor or something you get at an auto parts store right?

 

Ordered the exact match 8S7 waveline pearl and clear coat from a online automotive paint supplier so it will match. I'm just gonna take my time and stuff and hope for the best lol

 

Not sure how deep of scratches you got, but id scuff the area up, some adhesion promoter, then some high build primer. Then sand it down and feather the edges to help it blend. A couple LIGHT coats of paint. Lightly wet sand with a high grit paper. Then clear it. Wet sand with a higher ~2000 grit and then buff the area with some kind of buffing compound to make it shine, like meguires ultimate compound. It should be good to go.

But like you said don't rush it, just take your time and do it right the first time!

 

It's a scuff across the bumper there it's smooth. I'll do what your saying

So at first I taped off surrounding areas and got to many paint lines looked like ____. So re did it without taping off and just sprayed lightly and got to say looks pretty Dam good I'll post pics later

 

 

Haven't wet sanded or used anything on it yet want it to cure first

 

Looks good! The trick is just blending it in, no tape. Other wise you'll get tape lines. Once you buff it she'll look like new

So after all that some A-Hole rear ended me and now I need a new bumper lol about to trade the tC this is the 3rd accident in 6 months FML

 

If they're paying for it than who cares. New bumper!
