Not too many, but I did spill the paint all over my driveway, that took me around 45 mins to clean up

You should have used a dremel to sand the calipers smooth before painting. I spent probably close to 5 hours dremeling the brakes, then scrubbing everything with cleaner and a toothbrush several times. After that, it was about an hour and a half to paint the fronts, then an hour to paint the rears. I spent A LOT of time doing mine, but it turned out terriffic.

I'm not a pro or anything close, but I used a dremel to sand them down as well. I sprayed them down with the spray that came in the duplicolor kit and cleaned them well with a wire brush. When dry I painted them with the brush and waited 2 hrs before applying a second coat. They came out very smooth and glossy looking.

I'm sure one of the pro's in here can answer your question better though

I didn't sand mine - I just cleaned 'em. There's really no point in sanding metal like that, IMO.

Amanda - it comes with caliper cleaner spray. You just need a toothbrush (or 2) to scrub them down with.

You should also pick up a 2nd can of Caliper Cleaner because the can they give you is pretty small. (If you want to clean your caliper REALLY GOOD that is.) Also, pick up a pack of 'Artist's Brushes' because the brush they give you sux big time! Plus, the extra brushes will come in handy when you need to do touch-ups later down the road.
