OK, for those of you living in climates that recieve snow, and have painted calipers, do you repaint them every summer? I had a chipping problem b4 , but it is still occuring! It sucks having to take the freaking tires off each summer to paint the calipers. Should I use primer next time?

 

Primer would help. Make sure you clean them very well before painting again. When mine chip here and there, I just use a foam brush for touchups.

 

I've done that, but the paint seems to be chipping more and more, what paint would be best and able t o handle harsh conditions?

 

I have to redo mine every year, this year i'm doing them late because I have been on military deployment and away from my tC. I hate the work but like the look, i guess i gotta sacrifice some of my time. It's what we do right?

 

Buy G2 caliper paint.
It's a little pricey, but VERY good!

Both my wife and I have it on our calipers and it's held it's own through winter.

 

get them powdercoated mine have been through two cleveland winters and no chips or rust. after winter i just wipe off the salt and brake dust and polish and they look brand new

 

The thing I like about G2 paint..is that you don't have to tape off anything on your car.

You paint it on with a paint brush.
You can be extremely accurate then!
