Default painting a body kit

I had a few questions on painting a kit, well i have a huge scratch on my front bumper and a scratch on my rear bumper next to the wheel well, i got quoted for 1300 just for the back bumper, but i was wondering when u buy a body kit like a front and rear bumper unpainted, do they paint the bumpers only or do they sand down some of the car to match it well, because they were going to paint the whole left side of my car for the one scratch i was kinda like O_O

1300 to paint a rear bumper is insane.

when you get a fiberglass kit it mush be sanded filled and sanded again to be perfect... then you would do the primer and the flex coat and the paint.

Just for paint repair on a rear bumper? I hit something and cracked my front one. I got quoted 189 for the bumper from my dealer, but me and one of the sales guys figuer anouther 400+ for labor and paint. If they ask for more than that I'm going to just say screw it and wait for a good nice clean after market bumper.

That was actualy my whole plan, to oder the bumper. Get a quote on the paint and install it. Than turn it in for the paint to cut cost down.
