i have red on mine, but do u have a color scheme for an exterior look? i think red is getting out there, but black is unique. i say black for u.

I voted option 2, but how are you gonna do the tC logo in silver?

You could always paint in dual colors, find high temp silver and black. Paint it all silver, lay down a tC decal, and paint black. Pull of the decal and you are set. And since both are high temp you should be ok.

I have seen caliper decals, but with as much water and dirt and grime that is in that area, I would have to guess that they would flake off quickly. But good luck with whatever color scheme you decide on, I am partially to the black and white caliper like the willwood brake setup

Like I said in another related thread....

Stand out; red.
Stealth; black.

Either color would look good on FM. Go with your gut! It's YOUR tC!

I did mine in black as well they do seem to fade and get little chips. I've gone back and touched 'em up several time now.

Black all the way. I'm not a big fan of red on stock calipers, to me it says "hey look at my colored stockies". (imo I don't mean any offense to the countless people who have red)

I'm doing mine black after I paint my rims.

Doesn't painting your rims scream "hey look at my colored stockies"? I guess it depends on how you 'paint' them.

Here's a couple of pics of my red calipers...
5Zigen RX6s in Hyper Black

Flik Artics in Anthracite

Clear coat them babies when you're done painting them! It helps tremendously!
Just go with what color YOU think will look good.

well yeah if I were to paint my rims red but I think the charcoal color I picked out will look stock (and not scream it). I'm personally not a big bright color guy so even if you had a red theme going I might still not like it (sorry again just preference)

Imo i think that unless you have aftermarket rims on the car you shouldn't paint the calipers. But if you were to do it my vote is for black.
