Parking Light LEDs
#2
yea leds are not recommended in headlight housings due to the heat given off from the headlights. they'll maybe last you two weeks and some of the leds will burn out. I had to order 2 sets of leds before giving up on them.
btw the 921 size bulb is for the reverse lights, the correct sized parking light it 194/168.

and yes, you can use a 921 in the headlights.. they have the same base as a 194 and operate 100% the same. people use the 921's in 194's to up the brightness.. ive done it.. works great!
as for what id reccomend, well, i love the led look, and if you do too, then just keep buying them.. but other than that, an hyperwhite filament bulb is your only durable solution.. an iverted cone may last longer as it has more plastic around the die, but who knows... since mine went out, im not rockin anything in there...

Blazer Xtreme Parking lights. Buy them at AutoZone for $2.99. Come in many colors...
If you buy red or green, DON'T drive with just your parking lights on! Doesn't alter low beam color. May not be a bright as LEDs but last a long time. I've had mine for almost 2 years now. ZERO problems!

^^Not yet. But if they do...no biggie. I got 2+ years worth of life for just $2.99+ tax. That's cheap compared to how much LEDs are. And when the green ones die, I have blue ones that used to be my rear license plate lights. Now I have LEDs in those and they look schw-eet!

I couldn't resist showing a pic of the LP LEDs on my tC.
TongMan: Joe is right about the sizes of the bulbs. Most likely the package will say "194/168".
