ok i recently put a pair of 08 headlights on my car and i put blue parking lights on them, they look good but they are way to bright and noticable from far even with my hids on so i took them off because i was afraid of getting pulled over. Does anyone else have this problem with them, maybe mine are to bright or another color would be better?

 

are they LEDs?

 

it is simple, anything blue or red in most states is illegal.

 

yea from superbrightleds.com, yea i know blue and red are illegal its just that there much brighter since there not in the same reflector case as the hids like the 07 headlights, should i get white, does anybody have a pic of parking lights with hids on on there 08's

 

apparently the LEDs will soon burn up because of the heat from the headlights, possibly even if you have HIDs

 

switch to white, end of story.

 

thats what i might do, but im thinking if maybe it just looks better without parking lights lol anyone have pics of white parking lights on there 08 headlights

 

You could just dust over the bulbs with some spray tint...

what do you mean?, im not using parking lights right now because i only have blue ones and there too bright, so im wondering if anyone has pics of white parking lights in there 08 headlights, and if they look good then ill buy them

 

First off, LED's don't get nearly as hot as regular bulbs and HID's run cooler than regular bulbs. Heat shouldn't be an issue. Just switch to white from autolumination.com but get the ones with the heat sync built in anyways since they're cheap. I've been running mine for over a year with no problems at all. The brightness may be due to the angle at which the bulb sits compared to the 07- headlights. Blue isn't the best idea unless you like getting pulled over alot (area depending).

White will look really good,one guy up here has them in his and they match in color to the HIDs really well.

No worries on heat killing the HIDs in 08 housings as the parking bulb sits in the high beam not the low beam like previous years.

My LEDs have been in mine now for over two years and still going.

I have orange in mine,not a very bright color to begin with,but it looks good at night and keeps cops from pulling me over and does not look stock.

 

^^ yea im gonna buy white right now then, and you have projector headlights?

 

I just installed amber 168 bulbs in place of the white ones. I just wanted that nice marker light look out of the housing when it's dusk or dawn.

I have yellow bulbs on mine to match my APT fogs.
