Default Plain tC grille without silver marque?

I'd like to fit a stock tC grille without the silver 'scion' marque in the center. I do realize the RS has a plain grille, but I won't be getting a RS if I go with a tC (don't care for red or some of the RS frills)

I photoshopped the marque out on a picture of a BCP tC, and I like how it looks. I don't want to deviate from stock materials or chrome piping (so as not to unmatch the lower grille).

How is the grille mounted, is a replacement an easy bolt-on?

Are there any vendors who sell a stock grille with the marque removed, or is it easy to remove it yourself without visible artifacts? Thanks.

have you thought about painting the grille?..its much cheaper, and it dont look that bad..i did both top and bottom with a gloss black, then sprayed them with a flat clearcoat and it looks good.gives it a good factory look.. you can even tell the scion logo is on there unless your lookin for it

I've seen a few pictures where the logo is painted black, and it didn't look that good to me. The extra attention your suggesting might indeed look better.

I did like the complete removal result in photoshop (can we attach images somwhow with a free membership?), anyway, If I had to spend $50 or so on a replacement upper grille without the marque but otherwise stock, that would be reasonable, I think.

I'd spend more than that for a full upper/lower replacement set with a smaller less honeycombed mesh pattern, but it would have to keep the finished and trim appearance of the stock part.
