can u be more specific? because there are many different types of power convertors. and what u call cheap, others may call expensive and vice virsa. so give us some specs of what ur looking to get and how much u want to pay. might help.

No one can answer that if you don't provide any data for comparison.

What's the best price you've found and how many amps did the unit support? If you'll state those numbers, people might be able to assist you.

am sorry guys i know my question sounds dumb but is all i know.
what i am looking for, is one of those power converters that people use on indoor car shows so they can power alectrical stuff, cuz most indoor car shows require your batery to be disconected.

i hope this will give you guys an idea of what i am looking for.

I appreciate your help.

Do you have a sounds system or strobes, or anything that draws a lot of current?

Well I searched around for a while and came up with something like this... http://www.iotaengineering.com/dls90.htm 90 amp cause i think thats the output of the alternator and runs at about 13.4 volts. Have fun with it, and should be about 350.

dude any time. If you go to www.froogle.com its kinda like google but tells you where you can get the best prices for junk. When I was looking for that for you some guy on a civic forum said he had the 60 amp on and ran it three hours straight then turned it off and ran it for another 4 hours with out it over-heating. He said he had a 1000 watt sound system, halos, underglow and a bunch of junk.
