Default PLEASE HELP ME

I am trying to install the TYC tail lights but I can't get the bumper to move down. For each side I: removed the push pin on the bottom of the bumper, removed the screw in the wheel well and removed the screw that the hatch closes on. Then I pulled away from the car like the instructions say, but it won't release. Am I missing a step or did the direction neglect to include something. Please help me out because my blood pressure is rising by the moment...

where did you pull from? you don't necessarily have to remove the plastic push pins at the bottom... did you get or are you reading the insturctions??

you only need to pull away from the fender (might be useful for leverage with a flathead screwdriver to help pop the first tab out) and then just pull... it pops out.... and then other side and then pull back on the bumper.

I have the directions but they are VERY vague. I pulled from the wheel well away from the car fairly hard. I thought there was someone who had a DIY on here for the lights but I can't find it.

i think Toyota's instructions on anything are the complete opposite of vague. i don't think those instructions could get any more detailed. if you have problems pulling off the bumper, then that's you. Toyota can't help you there.

pull harder. it takes some elbow grease to pop off the bumper... or have someone else help you.
