Marcial aka flintmicaTC, did you lightly smoke your tails? They look like it, looks killer!

They look great! Makes me want to do that to my stockies and throw them back on. Did you just do a light coat or 2 of VHT? Or did you pay to have them done? I need to get my spoiler on too, the flushmount is ftw!

 

yeah i'd say it was a nice 2 coats of vht. clear and wet sanded in between coats for a nice shine... need some rubbing and polishing compound to really get them to shine

 

like.. super smoked from the outside, and gradually fade to "no smoke" once it gets towards inside. hm i'll do a photoshop mockup later

 

Outside, like around the edges? That's probably going to be tough with a rattle can. Again, how good are you with a spray can?

 

yeah edges. i suppose im decent haha, painted bike frames and what not. but i'm hoping i don't have to go the spraycan route

How many sprays did you use?

 

TYC with redouts.

 

the other ones were prolly sprayed with 5 coats or so

 

It's been a while since I did them, so I'm not completely sure, but I'm pretty sure it was 3 layers one night, then 2 or 3 more the next morning. Then i followed it up with 1 more that night, plus 2 layers of clear. Then the next morning 3 or 4 more layers of clear. Of course, there's no need to do them in the timeframe that I did, but I was really busy that weekend and had aftermarkets on my car, so I could still drive around.

I wouldn't tint these. these are the rarest TYC's anyone can ever find. there's only one set made, if you were planning on tinting them you should have just bought regular tyc's.

if you ask why these are rare ill tell ya lol, the led area is alil darker then regular tyc's and the blinker doesn't have the amber lens instead its clear.
