Before I start, I have already looked through every page of the "post your tails" thread and did not see examples of this so:

Does anybody have these ebay tails tinted yet? I want to know what they would look like. To me the first ones would look better in the end, it would probably make the back of the tc look totally different once tinted.


On this first one I think tinting out the top part and leaving the red would look pretty good.




On this one just leaving the top chrome part and tinting out the bottom would look pretty good.

 

maybe the bottom ones would look ok if you tinted out the chrome, but of course that's my opinion, i'm not too much a fan of the top ones personally.

 

I think I might just have to be the first to try one, and if I end up not liking them, Ill just sell them in the classifieds lol.

 

fair enough, i've noticed here on SL that people generally stay away from the ebay tail lights and try to get their hands on '05-'07 ones, or the TYC's.; etc...

 

If you're interested in painting them instead of using vinyl overlays, try Vans Lens Paint.
I used that on my TYCs and they came out clean.

 

If you are looking for that style, I'd look for a set of 08's. I wouldn't trust ebay tails, you'll probably put money into tinting them only to find out they leak.

 

ya that would suck, i just am really cheap and cant see myself spending so much on tail lights, well at least right now.

 

hey easy on the ebay tails, those are the same anzo's you see on fastscions.com just at wholesale prices, i have the black anzo's (the top ones) and i tinted the chrome and they look nice, fits great and they don't leak...worth the savings...good luck

i have some before i tinted the bottom but NC is on water restrictions so no car washing anywhere cause we're in a bad drought and I don't wanna take pics of my dirty car, but here they are...


During install, it was a breeze and everything fits fine


Doesn't stick out and is flush with the hatch...

Yea, finally spring is bringing some showers and lakes are going up, I'll wash it soon and get some pics up...but if you want good tint go through BlueBatmobile.net, he has great products and I got all my tint from him: both tails, 3rd brake light, side markers, and eyelids.

 

u tinted the bottom of those? u got any pics.. i have the same tails and was thinking of that

 

not yet but I'm really gonna try and get them up soon, have you tinted your third brake light yet?

i love the black and white them, emblems are black now, tails, tbl, and everything looks sweet haha

 

here are mine. no issues, no leaks, no fogging. And no the led's are not burnt out it's the camera. lol

 

Tint your third brake light and you'll be good ^^^^

ive havent heard much problems with ebay tails....but the headlights for sure......but the tails no....in fact i know someone with the top ones tinted.....very nice...has a clean look to it on a bsp
