Default proper cutoff advice please

So I ordered a HID kit from MobileHID and wow what fast shipping and high quality. I got them on mondy and had been planning on being a responsible student and waiting untill the weekend to do the install and well I made it to tonight haha. The install took me a while but I'm really happy with the results. Only thing is, when I test drove em I got one guy flashing at me. When I got home I just turned the projectors (I have 08 heads) all the way down as a temporary fix but does anyone have tips for adjust the cut off properly. ie if im 20 feet away from a wall how high above the ground should the light cut off...

ah I will never get 8hrs of sleep lol

you mentioning your mom's golf with HIDs gave me an idea. My mom has a 328i so I pulled her car and my car up to the garage so that they were the same distance and used her cut off to adjust mine lol:

the left is my cut off and the right is hers.

I might want to bring the drivers side down just a smidge and raise the passengers side a bit for signs but for now that should do.

and just for fun, the color diference :-)

Looks like you still have the "squirrel spotters" untouched, that could be the reason why that person flashed you... If you were to bend them down it would take away the glare you see above the cut off line there.

I need to do this with mine...The spotters don't look too intense against the wall or the ground but for oncoming traffic, they actually put off more glare than ya think.

A holes that think I have my brights on and high beam me, I high beam them back to let them know they are my regular lights. Usually makes them really mad, but don't be a douche, and people won't be douches to you!!!

That cut off looks really good. I think the BMW gives off a little more glare then the tC
