not straight though :T plus not bright enough.
but the info provided was great

maybe you should make a mount that will keep the lights straight, then mount the mount to the car?

Yeah we thought about doing that. Might do it in the future

Yeah if I do this to my tC im going to try to make a long wooden strip thats slightly angled, such that I can place my lights at perfect distance before I mount them and since theyre angled theyll give an eliptical light, not just circles.

Alas my car is but 9 days away....and the list of mods is growing.

I think that would be the ideal setup.

is there any way that you can install the puddle lights to come on and turn off with the dome light but ALSO include another switch so that you turn it on and off independantly of the dome light?
'm very new to wiring and just wondering if this is possible and how i would go about doing it

if you have a switch, you can make it so it turns on (and stays on), and also make it go on and off with the domelight. im thinking of a two way (on/off) switch. in the middle you will wire your constant power source. and on one side, you will have the ground as stated in the install (to fade with the domelight). and on the other side, you will have a ground (for the permanent on). sorry if this is confusing, maybe someone else can explain better.

The way to do that would be a SPDT relay... you have it wired constantly to the battery and then have one of the triggers be switched, then the other trigger be the relay. We can sell you a complete wiring harness like that for around $30 shipped with heat-retardant wires.

how do you get the wire from the passenger side into the car? Also, is there any other way to get the wire into the car other than door grommet? I don't know how I feel about poking a hole into something that is suppose to keep water and other junk out.

Just finished the install on mine and my buddie's tC. The lights look great, and the install is simple. The only time-consuming part is extending the passenger side wire. 3 minutes with a soldering iron, no big deal.

Did run into one snag though, one of the wires we used must have had some of its coating rub off because it shorted out and almost caused an electrical fire. Lots of smoke and glowing wires.

No reflection on the JLevi kit though, it was the wires that we used to extend the passenger side. The kit itself is very high quality, and I'm 100% pleased with the results.

Ok, thread from the dead I know but I wanted to ask a general question... I'm not an electrical genius but I'm no n00b but I needed to ask anyway

If, say, I wanted to have my LED underbody lights turn on with the domelights as well ad with a switch... how could I do that?
