Default question for cf manufacturers

i know several people have hoods, trunks, even new oem style fenders. raam convinced kaminari to make a one of a kind cf solid roof. im wondering if any manufacturers are considering making the wind deflector and two glass roof pieces in cf. i realize the weight reduction would probably not be significant without removing all of the bracing, but it would allow for a nice visual flow from hood to trunk with functional replacements for the glass on top. the roof would have to be open to see out and the back moonroof would be useless. anyway just wondering if any companys have considered doing this.

Fixed it for you buddy

As for the CF roof, Kaminari made a batch for somebody else, I was lucky to be able to get one, the others are not for sale.

To remove the rear glass you have to break it out and then clean off the residual glue it was held on with, it is sold only as a part of the frame, $950 part!!

If enough members bug Andy at Kaminari they may produce a one piece drop in unit for the whole roof, ours was a bit of extra labor but we saved 46 lbs up top, huge handling improvement!

So, if you want opening units you could end up with two front pieces most likely, may not look right in the end unless you do as we have, black gel coat on the outside, cf inside(ours is cf/kevlar)

And, you would barely save any weight, sadly

Rick
