Default -Question- How do you do this?

Does anybody know how to do this?

Do you have to take out the symbol from the back and somehow glue or screw it in? If I do take out the symbol will it leave a mark on where it was?

thank you for your help! [/img]

it comes off pretty easily...
get a heat gun or a hair dryer

and just heat it up
or let it sit in the sun

and the glue should come loose...

either use fishing line or just yank a lil hard..

no impressions are left..

its just a sticker...

but i have no idea how to put it in the grill...

but where theres a will.. theres a way...

have a nice day

I dunno if that guy in the picture ripped off the tC emblem on his car, but I'm pretty sure you can buy them.

I hear about people using 3M double sided tape. You might want to look into getting some of that.

To put it on, either use 3m advhesive, or bolt it on (much more complicated, but nearly impossible for people to steal).

tC nameplates like that are $16.60 plus 7% tax from me if you want them. They will come with the factory adhesive backing already applied. Just peel and stick! PM me if anybody's interested.

<~~ hey or you could PM the owner of the car and ask him .lol.

i took the "tC" off the hatch. VERY easy. i didnt even heat it. but i also live in South Florida so it hot. you can do this with a Credit card or flat head. but carful with flat head(wrap it in a cloth or something that will protect the car.

just SLOWLY pry back. stretch the glue out little by little.

pry evenly around the emblem so you dont split the letters apart. i have seen some people do that on accident.

Painting: used dupli-color adheasive promotor, 2 coats.
Dupli-color SuperWhite Spray 3-4 coats.
dupli-color Clear coat 3 coats.

Application: I used emblem glue. bought at Wal-mart for $2.50 in a small tube. just apply to the whole backing of the emblem and place it. Make sure you hold it in place for about 1-2 minutes so it sets.

done
