Default Question on Mculloch HIDs

I ordered a 8000K ...H1 kit from XenonPros for my projector/halo headlamps.
After installing the kit the bulb lights up a nice bluish color for a few seconds and then turns a yellowish color . Very unsatisfied by this. Has any other member encountered this problem, if so, wud was done to fix it.

Thanx in advance.

if you expected them to be blue then you should have gotten the 10000k if they are as white as OEM hid then you got the wrong bulbs...

ive been told it takes up to 100 hours of them being on, for the true color to come out. they will turn blue, just drive with your lights on all the time so they can break in

xenonpros.com is a website that sells the McCholluch kit. i bought mine from them almost a year ago. i have the 6000k lights on my car. from the time i installed them i never saw any yellow tint at all. when looking in my lights they have a slight blue tint to them. looking at the road they are a nice bright white.

i installed the same kit on my gf's mazda she had. no problems on hers either. the kit comes with a warranty so i would just contact xenonpros and see what you have to do to get another set of bulbs or get a different degree. past the 5000k the bulbs aren't as bright. 6000k-12000k actually gets dimmer. still better than halogen but not as bright as the 5000k.

when a REAL hid bulb (one with a return wire) is turned upside down, the color will change into yellowish. I am not sure if aftermarket HID bulbs have this return wire... if so, have it face downwards!

well the McCholluch HID kit is a REAL kit. and i don't have any yellow tint to mine. if he has the same kit as a lot of other people and he is the only one with this problem that we know of, then he should return the bulbs and get new ones.

he can't just turn the bulb around. the bulbs are made to fit the housing like a stock bulb would. tc's have 9006 bulbs. you can't turn them around.
