Yes I did a search and yes I looked at the stickies but I'm still at a lost (pretty stupid when it comes to things like cars/wiring).

I just want to change my low beam (no ganna worry about high beam) from their yellowish tint to a more neutral/cool white range (5000k-6000k).

1. Does it need to be HID (or rather SHOULD it be) or can I just find different bulbs.
2. I figured out the two more popular places since mobilehid moved to agriculture is ddm tuning and mengmotorsports but I don't know what i'm looking for in terms of ballasts/harness/wirings/etc.

If you want bright lights then stick with HIDs. There are tons of companies out there and majority of them get their products from the same manufacturer. If you don't have to deal with HID's and all the ballast and wires then just get some of those high end Sylvania bulb. Also please search next time on here or even on google because there are tons of information out there. It's just up to you to determine what you want.
