quick question: super white
hi guys, i'm the new kid. i'm just trying to decide what color tc to order (and to get a decent trade-in quote on my golf tdi ... grrr)
i'm pretty sure i know the answer to this but i just want to check. is the super white a flat white or does it have any metallic to it at all? thanks!

yea it does stay cleaner. now when i wash, i just rinse and i only have to dry my windows, cuz hard water stains dont really show up
i heard super white is just the primer with clearcoat on top. true?

i think i always was between BSP and SW ...but then i figured, on a BSP u would see scratches a lot more, while on a white..you would see dirt a lot more, but then again dirt can be washed off...so SW it was, and like curryBOWL said, white seems a lot more elegant, can do so much with it!
If you want a good quote on your TDI do tons of research at KBB, Edmunds, etc. It won't get you a good quote but you'll know if they're being unreasonable and you can put the papers in front of them. The quotes online vary wildly but you can get a feel for what's reasonable. In this case, if you can, work it out before they're sure you're going to buy the car...like it will help you decide if you're going to buy a new one or not. Go to different dealers if you can. When you're happy, have them write it down on a business card incase they "forget" what they offered you like they did with me. I traded my excellent condition 99 Golf Wolfsburg for my tC and got just under book. I didn't haggle and was just grateful for all the $ and to get rid of it before inspection and before it killed me (sudden acceleration was its only issue).
As for color--- that's your call of course! Incase you haven't heard, Toyota paint scratches easily so I avoided a dark color and went for silver, which hides those tiny scratches better. Plus it hides dirt. So like everyone has said, it depends on how much time you want to put into scratch removal and carefully washing your car. White is smooth but black is slick! :D
Sorry, more info than you wanted I'm sure.
PM me if you still haven't heard enough!
Keep us posted when you decide!
