Default quick vrd installation question

I am kind of disappointed that the thread VRD started on their fog lights no longer displays the pics for the install. I am wondering how difficult it is to install.

And on a second note, do the lights turn on/off with the headlights are parking lights or do you have a choice?

Thanks!

it's easy to install... it only gets slightly more difficult with a lip kit as you'll just need to do some additional work (cutting)

but other then that.. everything is just pretty much plug n' play.

TRDsparks has a PDF for the installation of the stock fog lights. From what I understand (someone correct me if I'm wrong) it should be the same, but just with the equipment you receive from VRD.

Here is the link.
http://www.trdsparks.com/install/PT413-21050inst.pdf

Hope this helps.

Yeah I just installed these last weekend. Download that pdf and it pretty much follows the same install. The only time-consuming part is removing the front bumper and putting it back on but otherwise it's plug and play.

I installed mine a couple weeks ago without removing the bumper. It took me a long time ( >1 hour) because I'm pretty much a complete car newb and it took me forever to get the cover thing under the engine off. Other than that, it was surprisingly easy.

How difficult was it to install the VRD without removing bumper? I'm planning to order the vrd from ebay and i really don't want to remove any bumper.

you shouldnt have to remove the bumper its basically the fender liners but only the front half of it, if u look under ur car and right behind where the fog lightss are u just need to take that part off, its only 5 screws

Only hard part is what tkevin07 said, removing the fender liners, which still isn't that hard.

i used the OEM fog light install guide to install my VRDs.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27616

That's the topic I used. Its basically the same exact procedure, same steps plugs everything. Only thing different is the location of the lights. and obviously you don't have to remove the grill. I actually removed my front bumper, found it easier to work like that.

Front bumper is cake to take off. I did it in a few min. One bolt behind the fender liner, One on it. One under the corner, then like 5 out front, other side is the same as the first. couple push plug thingies up top and it just pops straight back.

If you can take the vent panels out you can install the VRD fogs. I did mine in about 10 min.
