random question about emblems
I've been curious for awhile...how come most people debadge the front scion emblem but keep the one on the back? And how come most people take off the tC on the back but want to keep the scion symbol? Just confuses me why they would like the scion symbol in back but not in front and if they don't want the tc in back why they would want the scion symbol? Normally I wouldnt care but I just noticed that a huge % of ppl take it off the front and take the tc off the back, it's not really random so wanted to see why this was

just a matter of style for some people. they prefer a clean look.
some people like a clean grill with no emblems, some people don't want them on the back either, the "tC" emblem comes off very easily and won't leave any mark behind, but if you wanna take the "scion" emblem off the hatch garnish, there is an indentation there for the emblem that will be empty, and instead of making the car look "clean" it looks like it got "jacked" cuz they live int he hood.
with other cars, it can be done for reasons like...hiding the trim level, so you don't tell the whole world that you're driving a honda civic DX superweak base model with no power and roller windows etc.
only thing i did on my tc was replace the front grills with figure fig llc grills, and while it doesn't have a scion emblem on it, it has a "tC" emblem on the front grill now.

people debadge the front because they just buy a badgeless grille.
the "tC" on the back will come off and won't leave an imprint, where as the "scion" emblem on the back will leave an imprint where the emblem goes. unless someone was to get a badgeless hatch garnish, the imprint will definitely be visible.

then there are douchebags who feel the need to over badge their scions by putting scion on the grille, across the top of the windshield, on the wind deflector, on the rear windshield, and get custom vanity plates that say tc. and "DOHC VVT-I" stickers on the sides.
gawd, one time i met this guy who had a white mark v gti, and on his rear window had a giant vinyl in red that said "GTI" and it just looked retarded. i mean...it is very obvious it is a gti, but now you can't even see out your rear window now.

Yea all the emblems come off the sameway, they are put on with double sided tape.Except the front one on the grille, its clipped onto the grille if i'm not mistaken. Also i would love to remove the rear emblem and just leave the TRD Release Series emblem on.I'll eventually remove the rear one, already people have asked me what kind of car is it cause it doesn't say tC on it, I got the same questions when i had my Matrix, it was also debadged.
