Default Rear bumper applique

I'm starting to get some annoying scratches along the area of the rear bumper that would be covered by the applique... does anyone here have one? How happy are you with the looks/protection?

Anyone got pics???

I saw one before...IMO didnt lke the way it looked. Dont have a pic sorry. But you will get mixed emotions about it. Some people say they like it, some wont have it. So it's a toss up. Pictures dont really do justice...your better off trying to see one in person.

^^^ that's what i am talking about. White would work the best...maybe silver. But on the other colors you can see the outline and i dont like that IMO.

I have one on my SW tC. It was the only white tC on the lot and it had the rear bumper applique. I dont really mind it, it looks kinda cool.

Money wise, the rear applique is very inexpensive. But IMHO it really does not do the tC justice. Rather cheezy looking I think.

IMO, if I were going to spend the money and time towards applying an applique of any sorts, I'd black out the 3rd brakelight with an overlay.
The bumper applique isn't that big of a deal, its just a sticker that you'll eventually peel off in 3 or 4 years.

You must mean 3 or 4 weeks from what I heard.

its not peeling off at all, and it made it through the wisconsin winter here

I almost got it with the Scion $50 Giftcard. But I got the B-pillar applique instead.

it looks bad on a super white because dirt gets trapped on the edges. you'll have an outline of dirt around the whole overlay. i suppose silver mica would have the same effect.

Dirty on a cloudy day

clean on a sunny day

It's just sticker, I don't think it's really meant to be much in the way of protection. (Just use some extra wax to protect yer paint).

Yo, HKSpeed, what kind of rims are those? Those are f'ing hot man. I wonder how they'd look on a red RS1.0...

I have one on my SW, i like it. The only thing i dont like is on the SW a lot of dirt builds up right on the edges of the Aplique and it kind of gives it a outline. It cleans off with a good scrub when washing though. I think its a good buy.

I bought one and I tried installing it dry on my own....biggest monetary mistake I've ever made I had a crap load of bubbles after installing it and I said screw it and threw it away lol ....but believe me it looks freaking sweet on a FM.

There are solutions you can buy to spray onto adhesive things like this to apply them... you can also use dishsoap and warm water mixed... that way you can position it where you need it to be, and then squeege out the bubbles... the remaining water will evaporate from underneath once it gets out and bakes in the sun.
