Default Rear emblem plate......

Rear plate (plastic) on my trunk fell off when I lifted it. How many of you had this happen to you. Is it something I should bring up to toyota?

They'll probably tell you it's your fault for improperly opening the hatch. You don't lift from the handle, you press and hold the button then lift from the bottom.

If its under warranty you should try! I have a CF one and pull there and no problems. I never had any problems when i had my stock one either!

I thought the garnish was held on by plastic clips, not bolts of any sort....

nope it has two bolts that are fiberglassed in and then you put the nuts from the other side, the reason why it dimples, i think, its because the bolts are fiberglassed in. I didnt even tighten it too hard.

Can you post up some pix of how bad it is? If you end up getting it replaced, what will you do with this one? IDK if you've seen my v2.0 illuminated garnish but I'm looking to make another, try out some new ideas.
