ohhh myyyy, that's why I think this world is going to end right now. In this days if you have the car the most clean, the better it looks, just need some good drop,
the first thing that Prius need ASAP!!!! Come on people. That Scion looks like space ship..if you love it well its your car but don't expect people love it.

I hate to be that guy, but it is a nice start, I think the louvers are way to fat and bulky, maybe make them smaller and it will flow better.

 

I had louvres on one of my Datsun Z's and I loved them, although the flat black also matched the trim on the car. I can't really picture them looking good on a tC, but I'm actually having trouble picturing it at all. I think the two examples posted so far look terrible, but they're also a little over the top. Something a little more subtle and clean might actually work. I would totally help you with this project if I could - if for no other reason than just to see how it looks.
