Default recommend a good car cover??

Well when we go back home (Florida OHH how I miss you) for the summer for vacation we are leaving the tC behind while we are gone . I would like a good car cover thats waterproof to protect her. Also how thick is the material? and how does it stay on? I mean do I have to worry about it lifting up if its a windy day? Geez I may rent a storage unit to put her in....I hate leaving her behind just not enough room in the car for that long of a trip.
Thanks for the help everyone

I got the SCION cover - got it on eBay new for $90 - it's like $200 from the dealer. I don't know if it's waterproof or not, but it's a really nice cover. I didn't get it for rain, only to keep the tree sap off during the spring in my driveway.
Don't get a cheapo vinyl one as they will scratch your paint. Also, make sure the car is clean before putting it on for the same reason - SCRATCHES.

Thanks, Reese!

BTW, some of the covers have a flannel interior - but make sure they're outdoor covers. Indoor covers will let water in and make a mess.

And another little thing. I made the hole with the grommet for the antenna, but if I had to do it again, I'd not do that. I just twist off the antenna at night before I put the cover on...only takes a minute, and trying to match the hole to the antenna (that sounds bad ) is a pain.

lol thanks!

I am now considering just taking it to florida...I hate leaving it behind BUT then I would have to deal with road debri and I would just have to hurt someone if someone scratched it or something.....AHHHHH but either way I still need a good car cover, cause DAMN the pollen is out like crazy already.

I thought you had a covered area where you park (from your pix)?
It's always a gamble, leave it and who knows, drive it and likely chips will happen on the nose from the highway miles...esp since winter has lots of states using gravel for snow...ouch.

yeah its covered but not like I want it to be covered I wish I had a garage their are kids that run around and when im not home I dont want one of them walking up and touching the car...and getting all kinds of crazy dirty sitting for awhile. I thought about just buying a bra for the trip... I dont know if we do that then we need to for sure roll the fenders before driving that far, lol... im so indecisive

2005 SCION tC Coupe (2 Door)/2 Mirror Pockets/ Size G3 2 Mirror Pockets - WeatherShieldŽ HD-Grey

This is the best cover. I have it, but there is a drawback, the material is very scratchy at the seams. Some people get covercraft to sew in flannel seam covers, to reduce scratching. I have an evolution cover already, so i use both. The weathershield cover is very water resistant.
