Default redline hood lift

i just installed the hood lift today-its soooo ill. looks good, works good, must be good. i'll post some pics tomorrow once i put my rims on and a few other little things. i had the lift installed by a body shop for like $25 cuz i didn't have a rivet gun and i didnt think i'd ever use it again so i didnt wanna buy one. definitely worth the money-without a question.

yeah this mod does look good on the tC. Pics are on scionlife, rather quite a few, plus links to the website with a vid to show it working.
nice clean mod

They come standard with a 1 year warranty, and the upgraded ones come with a 3 yr. warranty I believe. Besides, they've been around for years and if one went out on you in a few years I'm sure they'll still be around to replace it for you.

YEAH, IT'S A GREAT TC MOD. I WAS AT THE SCION V.I.P SHOW IN E-TOWN MAY FIRST AND I THINK I WAS THE ONLY ONE THERE WITH ONE. IT ALLOWS YOU TO KINDA BALANCE THE HOOD HALF WAY OPEN TOO WHICH IS COOL WITHOUT HAVING TO PROP IT UP WITH ANYTHING. OH YEAH... AND I DIDN'T HAVE A RIVET GUN EITHER SO I GOT ONE FOR $10 THEN RETURNED IT 2 HOURS LATER :p

CHECK OUT MY TC..PAGE TWO SHOWS THE HOOD LIFT:

Also the tC kit is an Elite kit so it comes with the 4 year warranty. The price has gone up $10 since I bought mine, but I think you can still get it for $59 on ebay. I love mine!

Also very easy to install, only takes like 10 mins tops as long as you have the tools.

I loooooooove mine. Very easy install, very well-made product. Watching that 8 second video clip on the site sold me immediately.

And there are no clearance problems with the strut bar-- it doesn't even come close to it.

here's the deal on the carbon fib hoods quoted from redlines home page:

http://www.redlinetuning.com/QL-tips...termarketHoods

"More details to determine fit... Since most aftermarket hood manufacturers generally mold from the stock hood frame and then design a new hood skin to mount to this 'copy' of the stock frame, most aftermarket hoods will work with our QuickLIFT kits. Carefully look at the mounting surface on the hood where the bracket should mount (shown in the installation manuals located here) looking for similar angles, flats or other key features to determine that they didn't modify the shape or size of the hood's frame. If aftermarket companies make modifications to the shape and size of the hood frame, it usually reduces the amount of room there is to mount a bracket or might require a different bracket than what is supplied. In general the hood type (carbon fiber, composite, fiberglass etc.) has no effect on whether our QuickLIFTs will work, it is solely the mounting area that is of concern."

So then if u put a lift on just one side...won't the other side sag over time..especially if ur spending a lotta time under the hood?...I guess you could still use the stock one at the same time too if they are perfectly the same length or something

I actually just changed the tubing over the last week to a metalic blue and chrome finish. Even better looking. I got it at a local parts store called O'Rielly's (sp). The 3/4" and 1/2" works the best to cover most wires. Fire resistant as well. Just look for wire looms - split

The CF engine cover I picked up off ebay and just got the lettering from a local sign shop for a few dollar.
