Default replacement front bumper?

Well lets put it this way... New TC with 8k miles on it...

TC "1" small dog "0", so anyways I need to get my front bumper replaced as it is snaped in half. No other damage and no bent metal, but the lower part of the bumper is toast.

Anyone have any idea what a replacement will run and do they come painted from the factory?

Ill call around tomorrow but figured I could get an idea from people here.

Thanks,

Front bumper covers go for $220-$250 at dealerships in my local area.
They don't come painted. About $300-$350 in paint materials and labor
to have it painted.

That really sucks that they don't come painted... Ive never seen a painted bumper last and not have the paint come off it down the road... Im soo ticked..

They better paint it off the car too I don't need any freaking overspray on my new car.

Did you get it fixed at a dealer?

Im going to take it to a dealer... body shops many times do not get the parts from the factory. Im hoping a dealer can get it sent in from the factory painted...

Yup thats the price, but im ____ed they have to paint it.

My qoute was $766, and im paranopid about them painting it. I told them already that I expect them to paint it off the car as there is no need for over spray. Im tempted to not even let them have the car until I see it painted. Ive just had too many issues with body shops and just crap work. Im not sure there are even any good ones left as most people could careless about how there car looks. Things like dust and etc under the paint are just unacceptable.

well don't pay them until you are COMPLETELY satisfied with it..don't think anything less than perfect on it.....hell if i were you i'd even be there to make sure they don't cut you out of their money and not put on a few clearcoats or the like....while your at it...pay em an extra 40 bucks and tell em to slap on another couple of coats on top of the norm....you know how bad scion paint is....

Not a bad idea... waiting for the adjuster to approve the fix first.

544$ for paint and labour...

thats almost exactly what mine is, however that includes painting my front left fender as well....

its crazy how expensive body work is for cars. sucks too when you have to pay for it, or even go through the insurence process.

a car pulled out in front of me Saturday night, wrecked my fender, headlight and bumper and im going through that process right now. so i know how it is....it sucks.

anyways, good luck man. wish ya the best with your TC.

I know you guys are talking about having an oem bumper replaced and painted, but have you ever thought of just getting an aftermarket bumper. You can get many different style fronts for a cheaper price that a stock one. Paint and installation may cost you the same, but it would be more stylish. Below is a link to our website and if you have any questions all the contact info can be found on the site.

If they came preprinted I may look into a different style down the road.

It was covered under insurance and only cost me my $200 deductible. The body shop did a great job and the car is back to normal.

Now I can get back to my suspension mods and auto crossing... :-)

I will say this thought the stock bumpers paint did not match the car... and the replacement is a dead match.

If you in Ohio check out:
Sterling Coach Restorations

He did a great job for me and was recomended by a buddy at work. Great guy with years of experience.
