Default Roof Removal...

So my Sunroof ate Shiz recently, the cables that open and close the roof appearently ate eachother inside the motor. Only one corner of my roof would open and then it got completely stuck. So to fix it, i bought a used tc roof off a friend (with motor, rails cables and all) and im hoping to just swap the internals (rails motor, cables) all intact, to the bottom of my roof because the used roof has shattered glass and would probably cost more to fix that alone. Has anyone ever removed the whole roof before to do something similar? or have a DIY for this? I looked but no luck. I know a friend who has a B-spec, who swapped the roof for a functional Sunroof, but i wanted to see if i could find a DIY without having to bug ppl for help.

^ when you close it does it open back up? If so you need to grease the rails. Thats what I had to do.

I've got an 06 tC. And yeah when i wash the car i usually clean the rails and if needed, i'll grease them, but my motor crapped out on this issue and ate my cables.

Yeah I read the Tc has a flaw on that. I usually hold the front glass down then close it and it works. Sometimes I crush my fingers on the moon roof lol. But this problem is in the button. I press to close and nothing happens. I have to press to open then press to close and it closes.

Nevermind, I fixed it lol. Took the whole thing off and swapped the working parts from the salvaged roof to my roof and everything is back in working order.
