How low does the bracket of the Retractable Plate hang?...

Looks like it will get Beat up just Once if u accidently come out of a steep driveway or something similar!...

I got the same license plate mount, but got it from Summit Racing. I was wondering how you actually mounted it to the bumper. I need to figure something out once my car gets back from the paint shop. I'm getting the Five Axis kit put on, along with some other minor work.

I've heard rumors that Altec is going to come out with a motorized Show 'n Go license plate bracket. Also heard that it'll be a little pricey.

I just used two screws in the front of the bracket, it's VERY sturdy. There is also the supplied metal hanger you can use which might help if you don't want to drill holes on the bottom of your lip, then you can use some 3M tape where it meets the lip.

nice.... but i cant get any front lip u just scraped the bumper yesterday.. and the last week.. and there is always a place which is too high for my hotchkis springs

now i got the home depot "rubber" lip kit.. that one is holding up but a cf lip kit would be broken to pieces already... btw how lower is that cf lip kit than the stock bumper?

how big is the gap there? 1-2 fingers?

yeah, 1 1/2 finger gap. I'm on Hotchkis too, and the CF lip is 4.5 inches from the ground. I did scrape yesterday pulling out of a Safeway driveway/parking lot, but thank God the license plate bracket was there, not a scratch on the lip! Horrible sound tho....The steel bracket is scraped on the right corner, but nothing is broken and the plate pulls out and goes underneath smoothly. I have been driving about 30 miles a day to and from work and not a problem. Pulled out of a couple other driveways at an angle, very slowly with about 1/2 an inch to spare and everything was fine.

oh, the other thing is my bottom VRD grille will not clip in on the bottom, the lip is in the way. It will clip in on the top but it has not come loose/fallen out yet.
