RS1 lip project
Well for those who don't know, I had planned to fill up the 2 holes on the RS1 lip. Anyways, after finding some free time I thought I'd give this project ago.
The tools and materials used were: fiber glass, sand paper, a drill, metal mesh fencing, some power drills, a butcher knife, primer, FM paint, and clear coat.
Here goes...
Started by giving the some foundation and than fiber glass.

This is the metal mesh thing...

Ok after a ridiculous amount of sanding and filling in some cracks, I thought it was ready to prime.

It looked nice primered. Now its time for FM paint and clear coat...

As you can see, there are like scratch marks in which I'm not to happy with.

FM paint matched though, I think, I haven't mounted it onto my car yet.

In all... I'm not too happy about the finished product. I felt as though I could've executed it better. Now my plan is to just mount the lip for now until I could get an OEM lip.

what did you use to mount the metal mesh to the front lip? looks like industrial staples.

Mounted pics will be on soon... I ended up taking off the lip and sanding it down once again and repriming it. This project is costing more than I expected. This time it's not gonna be FM paint =/.
