Default RS1 Lips with Grillecraft?

Is this possible? I didn't realize how far in the RS1 front lip dips into the front mouth of the front bumper. Obviously you need to either cut down the front piece that fits into that opening or remove the grillecraft. Has this been done? Any insight? Do I need to ditch the grillecraft just to fit this front lip? And also, the two side pieces, can I keep those small side pieces or do they have to go as well?

Just found this old post from Kishan

"You can get the grill on with the RS1 Lip Kit.,.its just a pain in the a$$

And Offence Bob..but I personally wouldnt recommend getting it trimmed..bc the reason it comes going under the grill is so it will have a more flush look..by trimminig it..u can easily see the line before the grill..idk thats just me..but it is possible...what i did was take off the bottom screen of the grill...and push the slit through..and drill through the lip and body...not only giving it more strength for the lip to hold..but also keeping the flsuh look "

Is this the best solution? Sounds better than trimming the plastic of the lip insert. Sounds like it'll be pretty tough to pull off though.. Are there any DIY writeups for installing the front lip?
