Default Is the RS2.0 ground effects kit and spoiler available?

I just bought my rs2 and the dealer said i would have to order it, paint it, and have it put on. It wont come from the factory already painted. Is it true? I originally wanted the a regular tc with ground effects and spoiler but once i saw the rs2 at my dealership, i just loved the color. Thanks

It is true; you'll have to get it painted and put on. Also; holes will need to be made in the front bumper so I suggest taking it to a toyota body shop if you want it done right.

Strange.. when I bought my RS2 they were telling me I could order it and have it come all pre-painted etc etc etc...

That makes me curious now because I was still considering getting it.

Hmm.

Strange indeed. I know around here the spoilers come painted; however last I checked the ground effect kit doesn't come painted if you are buying it after you bought your tC. 'Shrugs.'

Same kit...definetly won't be able to find one already painted, unless it's on one coming in at the dealership.

"I Apologize for not communicating this sooner, but we made a decision a while
back not to offer any color keyed accessories for the tC RS 2.0. There's
many reasons why, but primarily it comes down to manpower resources. If a
customer wants something like this, the Dealership or customer will have to
get them painted through a local body shop or the Dealer's Body Shop if
they have one."

This is an e-mail from my Scion sales rep. The truth sucks sometimes.

Default yea

yea that would of been nice to have it factory painted. Sometimes body shops that paint such small objects might come out not so perfect, hard to wet sand and buff it to get the nice finish.

I am a big fan of carbon fiber, but not on the body where something is suppose to match the paint. It would look great to set the color of the paint of with little accessories but i its too ricy to use as part of the body.

The wife just picked up her RS2.0 (Body Kit, Lip Spoiler, Self Dimming Rear Mirror) #625.

I will get pics this weekend and post them up for all to see...

Same thing with my RS1... I paid $400 extra to have my Lip Kit and Spoiler color matched and painted at the local paint shop that they dealt with.
