Default RS2 Grill Removal

So I finished doing a paint job on my emblems and I am waiting for them to dry...I go to remove my grill and a few of my friends tell me it should just pop out...

I pop the hood and start to push on the outsides of the grill and nothing happens. I notice the screws and leave them be as it is part of the entire grill. I then see some small tabs attached to the front bumper...they are holding the grill in place.

I try to push the tabs down and remove the grill and no luck. Are these tabs here for every tC? I have not see another one...or is it just like this on the RS2?

I looked around on the site and found nothing on this kind of an issue with grill removal. It is mostly threads that say to pop it out towards the engine but its not working =/

Really want to paint it tonight haha

if you paint your grill, it will scratch easy. you need it powdercoated.
