Default s2k antennas

...i wanted to pick one of these up for my car but the honda dealership wanted 35 dollars for one and i think thats a tad pricey. has anyone bought one of the shorter antennas somewhere online, or on ebay?

im not too worried about how well it works or receives signals since i dont listen to the radio in the car, but i dont want one thats crappy or will fall apart on me a week after i get it.

im sure this has been discussed numerous times elsewhere but my internet is CRAWLING today, i thnk trying to search will blow it up. any help would be appreciated.

(no im not gonna "borrow" one from a car in a parking lot )

You know what driving 30 minutes will get you here?? From the south side of the island straight across to the north side of the island. Beach to beach.

I'd be up for a longer drive to pickup a large item like an exhaust to save on shipping costs to me. But for a small antenna I wouldn't drive 35min. I would order it online to save on the local taxes. I'd rather have a company make a small profit on overcharging for shipping than pay the state taxes.

Ditto. You don't want someone to "borrow" your antenna...

yup yup, i did that with the one on my mazda. thanks for reminding me though!

and to the person having a problem with my not wanting to drive 35 minutes...its for an ANTENNA. why drive over an hour for something that'll probably cost the same amount at another dealership, when i can order one online with the websites people just gave me for half the price. driving 35 minutes may get you across the island in hawaii but it gets you nowhere far in jersey. THANKS.

I HAD a topic in the classified section about a couple antennas I had. I was selling s2k/element antennas. Apparently the only difference in the element antenna is that it's smooth all the way down. they were $15.00 shipped. a mod deleted my topic.

PM me if you want to talk about it...
